Matthew 18:21–35
Freedom from Frustration

"Freedom from Frustration" continues our Freedom from Offense series by examining how our perspective and emotional responses can allow offense, frustration, and anger to rob us of the peace and freedom Jesus desires for us.

In this message, Pastor John teaches that offense is often shaped not only by what happened, but by how we perceive and respond to what happened. Through Jesus’ teaching on forgiveness, we’re reminded that because we have been forgiven an immeasurable debt, forgiveness toward others is not optional. John also challenges the idea that time heals all wounds, pointing us instead to the true healing found in Christ. As we surrender frustration and anger, take our thoughts captive, and allow the peace of God to guard our hearts and minds, the Holy Spirit can remove the power of past offenses and free us to pursue Jesus with our whole hearts.
