The Lord's Supper: Do This in Remembrance of Me

The Lord's Supper: Do This in Remembrance of Me explores the significance of Communion and how Jesus fulfilled the Passover through His sacrifice on the cross. In this message, Pastor John teaches from Luke 22 and Exodus 12, tracing the connection between Israel's deliverance from slavery in Egypt and the freedom from sin we receive through Jesus Christ. Just as the blood of the Passover lamb marked the homes of those who trusted and obeyed God, the blood of Jesus, our perfect and spotless Lamb, provides redemption to those who place their faith in Him. Through the Feast of Unleavened Bread, we're also challenged to examine our lives, remove the sin and pride we may be holding onto, and walk in the new life Christ has given us. Looking at the example of the early Church, John reminds us that Communion is more than a religious tradition. It is an opportunity to remember Christ's once-for-all sacrifice, examine our hearts, restore relationships, and celebrate our shared fellowship as members of His body. As we come to the Lord's Table, we're called to remember that our salvation is not earned through religious observance, but received through faith in Jesus Christ.
