"The Prison of Offense" continues our Freedom from Offense series by confronting the ways unresolved hurt can imprison our thoughts, steal our peace, damage our relationships, and keep us living in the past.
In this message, David Timczyk explores four traps that keep offense alive—the Debt Trap, the Judge Trap, the Replay Trap, and the “I’m Fine” Trap—and four biblical keys for walking in freedom. Through Jesus’ teaching on forgiveness, the warning against bitterness, and Paul’s call to press forward, we discover that our freedom does not depend on receiving an apology, being understood, or seeing someone else make things right. As we bring our hurt to the cross, surrender judgment to God, stop allowing the past to determine our direction, and abide in Jesus, the Holy Spirit can lead us out of the prison of offense and into lasting freedom.
Name it. Own it. Release it. Replace it.
